And Continues...

What a day!  The Beethoven overture went well, though I wish I could have conducted more of it.  The part that surprised me was that I got a compliment with the Mozart!  He let me do the entire last movement!  I was shocked!  I had a great time with the piece.  It’s tough doing this seminar because I respect Maestro Masur so much, and in some ways, when you work with a teacher/mentor so much, you develop a fear of disappointing them.  I find myself having to fight that and just do my thing.  In some ways, since the Mozart went well, I feel a little less worried that I am going to do that.  I do have to admit that I would love to do either the first or the last movements of the Tchaikovsky in the concert.  Neither is easy but for different reasons.
