Today, I rode the TGV from Paris to Toulouse.  When I was booking my tickets, the orchestra asked me if I really wanted to ride the TGV all the way from Paris to Toulouse.  (It’s about a 5 hour train ride.)  Well, I don’t know about most people, but I have to say that I love high-speed trains.  I highly recommend to anyone who hasn’t ridden a TGV to get on that train.  And once you factor in the time to the airport, etc., it’s not much longer a trip.  Though, don’t get me wrong, the new Air France cabin design they use between Houston and Paris is quite nice. 

I am very happy to be back in Paris.  It’s amazing; I arrived in Paris, took a half hour nap, suddenly was invited to a party and was out half the night.  In 2 nights, I’ve been to 2 concerts.  Tomorrow, I start rehearsals with the Orchestre National du Capitole Toulouse, so I should head off to bed!
