The May/Palis Wedding
Posted:
Forgive my cheesy blog today, but I had such a wonderful time with my college friends at the wedding. Ross' dad, Howard, kept saying, "You guys need to do this every year!" He's right. I wish we could have a college reunion every year. It was amazing to see Sean Breit and his wife Sonya looking EXACTLY like they did in college. Ross' sense of humor and his encyclopedic knowledge of music (we decided his new nickname should be iRoss - given that the ipod didn't exist when we were in college) were completely intact and on fire. Dave is still one of the sweetest people in the world - so utterly down to earth and still one of the most loyal people I know.
I saw Linh and his wife! I hadn't even heard that he got married. When we were in college, Linh was one of the most outrageous people I met - in the best possible way. When he would take on a new hobby, he would go all the way. When he started paintballing, he showed up in fatigues with paintball grenades, etc. If he could have found a paintball tank, he would have brought it.
Of course, one has to mention my big brother, Dee and his wife Bekah and his big brother and his wife, Mike and Lenea Epstein. They have been some of my closest friends in the world. They visited when I was in Paris, and they are truly some of the most supportive people I know. Dee opened up his home to me. Mike came down from Atlanta for last year's Opera Vista Festival. I couldn't have been more honored. The greatest things I took away from Duke were the friendships that were built while I was there.
I can say - no matter what goes where with my life, I have amazing friends!
